On January 27th, the 3rd Spay and Neuter Clinic took place at the Multipurpose Court in La Ribera. This community-benefiting event was made possible through a partnership between Fundación Costa Palmas, Amigos de los Animales, and Buenos Aires Veterinary Clinic from Los Barriles, in a significant effort to prioritize the health and well-being of pets in the community.
Families from La Ribera, El Campamento, Santa Cruz, and Las Cuevas came to bring their pets – a grand total of 94 animals. Some 39 dogs and 21 cats received spay and neuter procedures from veterinarian Cristóbal Cosio and his team, and the additional 34 pets received rabies vaccinations.
"Our La Ribera Amigos de Animales group felt that this clinic, hosted by Fundación Costa Palmas, was a great collaborative effort, and we were happy to support it with materials and volunteers," expressed Patty, President of Amigos de los Animales. She continued, "There was a true sense of teamwork between our more experienced volunteers and the younger, stronger ones from Fundación Costa Palmas who came ready to learn and pitch in. As always, we value working alongside other groups with common goals to keep the area's dog and cat population healthy and under control. Thank you to everyone involved! Job well done!"
Thank you to all the volunteers from Fundación Costa Palmas, Amigos de los Animales, BajaMed, La Ribera Delegation, Costa Palmas, Four Seasons Los Cabos, and other members of the community, who came to support on this special day. Without you, this would not have been possible. Thank you again, and we look forward to seeing you at the 4th spay and neuter clinic in La Ribera!
