Empowering the La Ribera Community: Fundación Costa Palmas Launches Free English Program

Fundación Costa Palmas has initiated a groundbreaking initiative this year by offering complimentary English classes to the residents of La Ribera. Led by Professor James Davis, who spent seven years teaching in San Jose del Cabo before relocating to La Ribera, the program aims to provide accessible English education to all community members.

With 10 groups currently enrolled at various proficiency levels, the program caters to learners of all ages and abilities. Classes, held at the La Ribera Delegation offices, accommodate beginners, intermediates, and advanced students, with specialized groups for adults and children aged 7 and up.

Each class is kept small, with an average of 14 students, fostering an environment conducive to learning and interaction. The community's enthusiastic response to the program has led to a waiting list, highlighting the strong demand for English language education in La Ribera.

Professor Davis remarks, "Everyone has a passion and drive to learn. It's inspiring to see their motivation, and I've enjoyed getting to know each student. We're having a lot of fun in class." Thanks to Fundación Costa Palmas, these classes are provided free of charge, ensuring access to quality education for all participants.

The program's long-term vision includes guiding students through a structured curriculum over six months to a year, enabling them to progress from basic to intermediate and advanced levels. Looking ahead, Professor Davis aims to facilitate certification exams such as TOEFL or Cambridge, providing students with internationally recognized credentials that can unlock countless opportunities.

Enrollment for the program remains open, and interested individuals can contact Fundación Costa Palmas for more information and registration details. As La Ribera continues to thrive and evolve, this English program stands as a valuable resource, empowering community members with essential skills and knowledge for personal and professional growth.
