A Heartwarming Home Run: Fundación Costa Palmas Hosts a Friendly Baseball Game

In a wonderful collaboration, Fundación Costa Palmas joined forces with the Beach Club of Costa Palmas and the Four Seasons Los Cabos to orchestrate an afternoon filled with baseball and camaraderie.

Originating from California, a family staying at the Four Seasons Los Cabos in Costa Palmas had the charming idea to organize a baseball game so that their four children could engage in a friendly match with local kids aged between 7 and 11.

To make this happen, Fundación Costa Palmas organized a friendly match involving the local team from La Ribera, the Marlins, and extended an invitation to the Miraflores team, Los Venaditos. The four visiting children joined both teams, accompanied by their baseball-loving parents—all avid fans of the Texas Rangers. Alongside the 24 children from Los Venaditos and the Marlins, they collectively enjoyed an afternoon of baseball at the sports park of Costa Palmas, adjacent to Jimmy’s.

Post-game, the Los Venaditos team, and their coach, Luis Francisco García Rieke, alongside the Marlins and their coach, Sadoc Agúndez García, the family residing at Four Seasons, and the Fundación Costa Palmas team, savored delicious peanut butter sandwiches, popcorn, and lemonade.

To conclude this memorable afternoon, each child received a baseball as a gift from the gracious hosting family. The bus driver who took the Miraflores children back home conveyed a heartfelt message to Fundación Costa Palmas: "The children were thrilled, and in their return comments, they expressed that it would be an unforgettable experience."
