This past fall, a group of Costa Palmas employees kicked off the “Good Neighbor Initiative Program” by helping out local La Ribera resident, Yadira. In September 2021, Hurricane Olaf completely destroyed her home. In response, around 25 Costa Palmas employees rallied together as volunteers and built her a new house, bigger and stronger than the one she had before.
The “Good Neighbor Initiative” program had been in the planning stages for some time and this house-building effort acted as a pilot project for the team. The goal is to help more families in need as the program continues to gain support.“We are committed to making La Ribera a better place for the local community and our team members who also call La Ribera home”, said Noemi Rosiles, Costa Palmas Community PR Manager.
Stay tuned for more news as this program takes on more projects in the La Ribera community. A huge thank you to our construction and development team for leading the charge!
