This past week, Fundación Costa Palmas helped kids gear up for a fresh new year with the donation of 500 school bags full of supplies to children from La Ribera and nearby areas of the East Cape, including Santa Cruz, Santiago, Campamento, Matancitas, Agua Caliente and Miraflores.
The event was held at El Campamento, and in attendance were nearly 200 students as well as local authorities, staff, friends and family members—all coming together to celebrate the students and kick off the school year in a positive way. Irlanda Fisher, Director of Public Relations of the XIV City Council of Los Cabos; Oscar Manríquez Ruíz, Delegado de Santiago, representatives of Miraflores, and members of Fundación Costa Palmas, joined the fun event and helped distribute backpacks to the excited students.
The Costa Palmas Foundation continues to support children, prioritize the success of local students and create powerful change through its philanthropic efforts. Thank you to all who participated in the backpack drive and good luck to the students—may this upcoming school year be a happy one!
