Children's Day is a big celebration in Mexico. Children are often celebrated by their families and schools with gifts, games, candy, and special events. Cultural and entertainment activities are organized throughout the country to promote the well-being and rights of children.
On April 28th, Fundación Costa Palmas organized a big party for all the children of La Ribera and surrounding communities such as Las Cuevas, Santa Cruz and El Campamento, on the Explanada de la Delegación. There were different entertainment activities for children from 4 to 12 years old, which included inflatable games, fair games, artistic workshops, music, and a circus acrobatic show. Snacks, juices, and candy were handed out and everyone had a great time.
This celebration was possible thanks to the support of our more than 50 Costa Palmas volunteers who shared a very special day with the children. This represents the commitment of our team to contribute to the sustainable development of our community.
“We are committed to the community of La Ribera and we want to continue participating and celebrating with you this year. Thank you to all of the volunteers for their time and effort to help us pull this event together”, emphasized Rodrigo Bretón, Director of Costa Palmas.
Over 400 children, accompanied by parents, attended the event and enjoyed a wonderful evening dedicated to them. We look forward to next year’s Día del Niño celebration.
