Fundación Costa Palmas Supports Back-to-School Initiatives in East Cape Communities

As the new school year neared, Fundación Costa Palmas reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to education by actively engaging in two significant back-to-school projects in the East Cape region.

In response to a request from Prof. Oscar Leggs, the Mayor of Los Cabos, Fundación Costa Palmas provided 80 desks and 160 chairs to local schools in La Ribera and Santiago. This thoughtful initiative ensured that students returned to classrooms equipped with safe and comfortable learning spaces, setting a positive tone for the academic year ahead. The beneficiaries included three schools: Escuela Primaria Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez and Telesecundaria Jesus Olachea Avilez in La Ribera, as well as the primary school 15 de Mayo in the nearby town of El Campamento.

In addition to this, Fundación Costa Palmas joined the "Unidos somos Útiles" campaign, initiated and promoted by the Direction of Public Relations of Los Cabos. Through this collaborative effort, 350 school bags filled with essential supplies were distributed to children in need across the three municipalities of the East Cape including 10 sub-delegations: Miraflores (Caduaño, El Ranchito, y Miraflores), Santiago (Aguacaliente, Matancitas, Santiago, El Campamento and Buenavista ) and La Ribera (La Ribera and Santa Cruz). The selection of recipients was carefully coordinated with local schools, ensuring that the support reached those who needed it the most.
